Marcus Rashford was always destined to be one of the winners of the enforced break.
He is battling his way to full fitness from a back injury he sustained in January in the FA Cup replay against Wolves.
Rashford sent a message on social media this week taking part in a skills challenge.
He demonstrated his quick footwork while very topically doing kick-ups with a toilet roll.
Rashford noted in his message that this is the ‘recovery version’ of his ability. Even so, he seems to be moving pretty freely.
Working for a return, whenever it is
The football shutdown may provide a few issues for Rashford if it means he cannot access Carrington’s facilities.
Even so United will already have devised a training plan for him to ensure his recovery is not hampered in any way.
Euro 2020 being pushed back to Euro 2021 takes some of the stress out of Rashford’s situation as it means the Three Lions’ medical staff have no need to push him.

The Mail had reported England would be demanding Rashford’s medical records from United as they wanted to be across his injury for potential involvement in friendlies and the European Championships.
Now when Rashford returns it will be entirely on United’s terms.
The extended season means he will have more of a role to play, as United chase down a top four place, the Europa League, and the FA Cup, if the season continues.
It is hard to make any real judgement from his video, but we will do it anyway. He looks pretty good and his back does not appear to be hampering him.
We are getting positive vibes, and we can’t wait to see him linking up with Bruno Fernandes.
