Ralf Rangnick got a win in his first game in charge of Austria after leaving his interim role with Manchester United.
Rangnick is not staying on in his role as consultant at United, which will allow him to focus full time on his international managerial role.
And he made a stunning start to life in his new role with a 3-0 away victory over Austria in his maiden game in charge.
Austria got their Nations League campaign underway with that impressive win as they embark on a new era after missing out on the 2022 World Cup.

Laimer helps Rangnick to first Austria win
He was also helped by midfielder Konrad Laimer, who is reportedly a target for United this summer.
Laimer was in the midfield which dominated the home side, who fielded Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic in their engine room.
Champions League winner Luka Modric also came on as a substitute, as per WhoScored.
On the night, nobody laid on more key passes than Laimer’s three in an Austria shirt, as he showed the creativity to go with the energy we all know he has.

There may well be some United fans keeping an eye on how Rangnick gets on in charge of Austria.
It is early days but the first signs are that he is getting his messages across and it seems he has already impressed his new charges on the training pitch.
Rangnick’s first United game in charge was a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, which showed signs of promise, which ultimately faded away as the season fizzled out.
Austria will hope to build on their impressive start on another night which showed that United would be getting if they did sign Laimer.
