Manchester United are looking to offload out of favour winger Jadon Sancho in the upcoming transfer window.
Once valued at £73 million by Manchester United, a fee considered cheap at the time, Jadon Sancho is a rapidly depreciating asset.
Sancho has not played since August, and has struggled for form over the past couple of seasons since arriving at Old Trafford.
United are trying to find a buyer for Sancho, or a club that can take him on loan and pay his wages. That is not currently proving easy.

Jadon Sancho not an ‘asset’
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho’s future was discussed on ESPN, and former Premier League goalkeeper Shaka Hislop is not surprised he is currently struggling to find a club.
He pointed towards teammate Donny van de Beek, who is on the verge of sealing a loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt, and explained why he is considered a more attractive option.
Hislop said: “In terms of an asset, I’m not sure I see Jadon Sancho as much of an asset anymore. He’s linked with a return to the Bundesliga and that for me is the only likely destination. He had success, had some good performances with Borussia Dortmund, but ever since he arrived at Manchester United you cannot say the same, he’s been given opportunities, but just hasn’t taken them.”
Doubtful clubs will take a chance
He added: “To that point, contrasting Jadon Sancho with Kalvin Phillips or even Van de Beek at Manchester United, they have kept themselves in a better position in terms of a transfer by not playing, and not kind of kicking up a stink off the field as Jadon Sancho has, so it’s a weird dynamic around Sancho.
“He’s fallen out with the manager and if you’re on the outside looking in, you’re a bit tentative, adding to that, all three players the salaries they are commanding, I’m not sure anybody would be willing to pick up that tab, from the lack of production over the past couple of seasons.”

Erik ten Hag criticised Sancho’s training performances earlier in the season, citing this as the reason he failed to make the squad against Arsenal.
Sancho hit back on social media, and has not moved to mend fences with his manager by apologising. Since then he has been training individually away from the rest of the first team squad.
Van de Beek has remained part of the first team set up despite not being in favour, and he will be signing with Eintracht Frankfurt by January 1. Sancho on the other hand will likely be waiting until the end of January.
Meanwhile it has been speculated new investors Ineos may take a more ruthless approach to player contracts and consider paying off Sancho, terminating his deal.
