Manchester United are trying to hijack the Leny Yoro deal, with Sky Sports reporting a fee has been agreed with Lille.

Leny Yoro coming around to Manchester United move
Leny Yoro’s dream has been to sign Real Madrid. However, the Spanish side have been slow to respond to Manchester United’s successful bid.
Their preference is to wait another year for Yoro’s contract to expire. But Lille do not want to lose him for free.
Lille outlet Le Petit Lillois report that Manchester United are making gradual progress to try and win Leny Yoro over.
It reports: “Growing interest [from Manchester United], which is confirmed day by day, is significant in the eyes of Leny Yoro and his close friends, touched by the efforts made.
“On the other hand, the choices made by Real Madrid raise questions and, if its leaders continue their strategy and do not send their long-awaited and discussed final offer, it could lose the advantage.”
It adds while Yoro was excited to join Real, this could be ‘reversed’ as Manchester United intensify efforts for the young centre-back.
The potential capture of Yoro was seen as a bonus for United yet could become essential, with Everton digging in over Jarrad Branthwaite and demanding £70 million.
United are also pursuing Matthijs de Ligt, but want to sign at least two defenders this summer.
Lille encouraging Yoro to take United move
Manchester United’s offer is what Lille are looking for, while Real Madrid have not matched it.
Fabrizio Romano reports: “Lille, insisting with Yoro to accept Man Utd as it’s best proposal on their table.”
The longer Real Madrid go without matching Manchester United’s offer, or even coming close to it, then it sends the wrong message to the French defender.
United investors Ineos would make a major statement by winning the race for Yoro’s signature ahead of Real Madrid.
They have made a proactive move by agreeing a fee with Lille, and it seems as though this progress is making an impression with Yoro.
Real Madrid are even looking at alternatives to Leny Yoro, an encouraging sign for the Red Devils.
