Manchester United have a number of players on loan this season.
17 to be exact. These include the likes of Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek, Facundo Pellistri and many more who have all left for the same conquest – some much-needed game time away from Old Trafford.
The only issue with a loan, is sometimes they don’t go according to plan. Often the player isn’t a good fit – which leads to them just warming the bench.
This appears to be the case for Manchester United academy graduate – Hannibal Mejbri.

Hannibal Mejbri hasn’t even played 45 minutes for Sevilla
It hasn’t been the best of starts to life in La Liga for Hannibal. The Tunisian has made a name for himself, but seemingly for the wrong reasons.
He made his debut against Girona in January, making an immediate impact, of the wrong sort. Hannibal was booked after just one minute on the pitch.
He then got in hot water with his coach after his start at the La Liga outfit – which led him to being excluded from the squad.
Hannibal has since come back, but Sevilla and his new coach evidently do not rate him. In fact, since his move in a quest for game time – the Tunisian accumulatively has played just 37 minutes of football.
This does him, and Manchester United, no favours at all.
Manchester United made the wrong choice for Hannibal Mejbri
The frustrating thing is this could have been avoided. In the January window, Hannibal was said to have two choices, with Everton interested along with Sevilla. Now with hindsight, the Tunisian should have been sent up the road to Goodison Park.
Instead, it looks like Hannibal will be coming back to Carrington having achieved zilch. If United are to sell him, this spell has done nothing to attract potential suitors or inflate his price tag.
Maybe things will change for Hannibal – but right now it isn’t looking good.
