Manchester United loanee Dylan Levitt dominates in Dundee United draw
Manchester United loanee Dylan Levitt has once again showcased his ability to control the tempo of a game in another dominant and all-conquering display.
The 20-year-old midfielder played the full 90 minutes of Dundee United’s 1-1 draw away to Livingston last night.
The Tangerines were unable to take advantage of the extra man after Ben Williamson was sent off for the hosts, but they did extend their unbeaten in the Scottish Premiership to seven.
Tam Courts’ side have only lost twice in the league all season and find themselves fourth in the table, trailing reigning champions and league leaders Rangers by only three points.
Dundee United will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run when they welcome St Johnstone to Tannadice Park on Saturday, where Levitt will be up against fellow Manchester United academy graduate Reece Devine.
Dylan Levitt shining in Scotland
Playing at the heart of the midfield in a 4-5-1 formation, Levitt showcased his full range of passing, but also his ability to win the ball back for his team.
Following a stop-start campaign last time around after spells with Charlton Athletic and NK Istra, in Croatia, Levitt looks settled up north and is benefitting from playing week in, week out.
The Welsh international was influential in all areas against Livingston and he relished his side having an extra man, which brought more time on the ball.
He finished the match with 102 touches, which was the most on the pitch (WhoScored).
Levitt also completed the most passes in the game (78) and he created two chances, one of which was deemed as a big chance.
The talented youngster completed six of his nine attempted long balls and completed both of his dribbles.
He also showed his ability and willingness to perform his defensive duties by winning five ground duels, three tackles and making two interceptions.
It was another impressive performance from Levitt, who looks to be going from strength-to-strength in Scotland.
