Lisandro Martinez has remained a favourite with Manchester United fans despite his injury woes, now he’s gone viral.

It’s been a tough second season at Manchester United for cult hero Lisandro Martinez as he’s spent the majority on the sidelines.

The majority of his injury problems have stemmed from his metatarsal break which occurred last April against Sevilla in the Europa League.

After beginning this season looking a touch off the pace, he was out again with a reaggravation of that injury. In February he returned, and against West Ham, an awkward fall saw him once more out of contention.

But he is now nearing a return, and the hope is he will have better luck going forward. Ahead of his return, a video has gone viral of his celebrations during the 4-3 Liverpool win.

Despite not being on the field or bench for United in the St Patrick’s Day win over Liverpool, Martinez was in Old Trafford and as passionate as ever.

He was spotted celebrating Amad Diallo‘s winner from a box within the ground, by X user AdMUFC99.

Martinez’s jubilant celebrations just go to show why he’s adored within the fanbase. He embodies every single fan in moments like this, and we cannot wait to have him back in the squad and show this passion on the pitch.

Fans react to Martinez’s celebrations vs Liverpool

On X, fans loved the clip which showed Martinez’s celebrations.
