Manchester United summer signings Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo were both snubbed from BBC Sport pundit Troy Deeney’s Premier League Team of the Week.
Both Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo played starring roles in Manchester United’s sensational 2-1 win against Liverpool in the Premier League clash at Anfield.
Mbeumo and Cunha were both in the United starting XI alongside Mason Mount in the front three, with the pair playing the full 90 minutes in Sunday’s 2-1 win.
Cunha failed to score or assist against Liverpool at Anfield, but the 26-year-old Brazilian forward’s contributions made him a constant threat in the United attack.
Mbeumo, on the other hand, made an instant impact in the first two minutes after Amad Diallo picked him out with a superb pass and the former Brentford ace scored.

Troy Deeney left out Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo from his BBC Sport Premier League Team of the Week
Bryan Mbeumo handed Manchester United the advantage over Liverpool in the first half and early in the second half in the Premier League showdown at Anfield.
Cody Gakpo pulled Liverpool level in the 78th minute of the Premier League clash, but Harry Maguire cancelled out the Reds’ equaliser only six minutes later.
Harry Maguire’s match-winner for United ensured him a place in Troy Deeney’s Premier League Team of the Week, with Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha missing out.
“Man of the weekend,” Deeney told BBC Sport.
“He was absolutely unreal in the 2-1 win at Liverpool. How many times has this man been written off, both as a player for England, as a captain for Manchester United?”

United defender Harry Maguire earned high praise for his overall performance at Anfield, with the England star excelling defensively amid his impact in the final third.
Deeney added that the 32-year-old ex-United captain proved his real leadership skills for the Red Devils and he was incredibly “effective” against Liverpool on Sunday.
“If you listen to everything, he has been the problem, apparently; however, he was fantastic,” he continued.
“A real leader, nothing too fancy and that is what you want from your centre-backs.
“He was effective and very good.”
United will now return to Premier League action on Saturday and the Red Devils will host Brighton at Old Trafford for a 5:30pm kick-off time in the UK.
