According to a report from INews, McTominay is far from guaranteed his place at Old Trafford next season.
Despite scoring eight goals and assisting two in all competitions, the academy graduate is seen as ‘replaceable’ as United hope that West Ham return for him.
This could be in a bid for additional homegrown sales to balance the books further and avoid any danger of breaching PSR rules.
McTominay could be joined as an academy player being sold by Mason Greenwood who the report states is also likely to leave as interest grows and meetings in Spain take place.

Last summer, McTominay was someone most of the fanbase would agree had to go, but this summer the reaction could be different.
The Scotland international has clawed himself back into the hearts of many fans with his crucial last-minute goals which have saved Ten Hag on many an occasion.
McTominay has had admirers in all his managers at the club, but it was Jose Mourinho who brought him through, labelling the Scot as ‘special‘.
Ultimately, it’d be a disappointment to see Scott go, but if it led to the arrival of a proper number six, then it’d be hard to argue with.
