Manchester United are about to kick off the 2025 pre-season tour with a clash against Leeds in Stockholm, Sweden.
After two weeks of hard work on the training ground, Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils finally have the chance to showcase what they have learned.
Manchester United’s starting line-up against Leeds may not look too different when the whistle blows on Saturday afternoon, but it will be in the structure and the patterns of play within the 3-4-2-1 system that we expect change.
Amorim has had two weeks on the training ground and clips have shown he is making the most of this with 11 vs 11 sessions and game scenario work.
The debut of Matheus Cunha will be the main attraction for fans watching in Sweden and on MUTV, however there will also be several players who are competing to impress Amorim and earn a place in the team.
But when United announced the squad travelling to Stockholm, there were some notable absentees.

Harry Amass misses pre-season tour and is set to depart on loan
Since Diego Leon joined United, it was widely speculated that he and Harry Amass would be battling for the back-up role under Amorim.
However, this has come to a disappointing end with Amass not included in United’s squad which is travelling to Sweden on Friday.
The 18-year-old was left off the list, but it is for good reason.
Simon Stone has tweeted regarding this situation, revealing that Amass has been left out of the squad as he is instead expected to depart on loan.
The journalist revealed that there is “lots of interest” in Amass. To add to this, United in Focus football correspondent Graeme Bailey has explained that the teenager was always expected to head on loan.
This is due to the club having doubts over Amass’ readiness for the first team, and hope that a loan spell will answer a lot of questions they currently have over him.
