Paul Scholes has once again spoken about Lisandro Martinez after the Manchester United legend’s ongoing feud with the 28-year-old Argentine defender in recent weeks.

Paul Scholes and Lisandro Martinez have reignited their feud after the Manchester derby…
Speaking on The Good, The Bad & The Football, Butt and Scholes suggested that Erling Haaland would overpower the smaller Martinez due to their size comparison.
However, Martinez had the last laugh and both Butt and Scholes were left red-faced after the 2018 World Cup winner ‘pocketed’ Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.
Following Man Utd’s stunning result over Man City, the former Ajax ace pulled no punches towards outspoken pundits Scholes and Butt over their harsh comments.

Lisandro Martinez came out swinging after last Saturday’s Manchester derby and ignited the feud even further with ‘Class of ‘92’ stars Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes.

What did you think of his performance?

Responding to Scholes, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher asked: “Are you backtracking?”

“No, I’m not apologising for it, no,” Scholes continued.
“I’m just saying, the thing we were trying to say was, look, we thought. It still is. Physically, it’s a mismatch.
“Look, the way we described it probably wasn’t great and we probably shouldn’t have done that, but still, it was.
“He’s had one good game as well.”
Butt took further swipes at Martinez in the latest episode of The Good, The Bad & The Football podcast after the final Manchester derby clash of the 2025-26 season.
