One of Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United summer signings missed out on winning the Premier League club’s Player of the Month award for the month of September.
Manchester United fans took to the Red Devils’ official media channels and had their say on the standout performer from Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad last month.
Amorim saw his squad options bolstered in the summer after Ineos splashed out on a spending spree in the window, with five new players arriving at Old Trafford.
Matheus Cunha was the first to arrive at United in June after he was signed from Wolves, while Diego Leon and Bryan Mbeumo both completed their moves in July.
Benjamin Sesko was landed in August before United made a deadline-day move in September for Senne Lammens and signed off on their summer spending spree.

Man Utd summer signing Benjamin Sesko falls short of the Red Devils’ September Player of the Month award
Bryan Mbeumo was the first Manchester United player to win a Player of the Month award in the 2025-26 Premier League season after scooping the honour in August.
However, Benjamin Sesko was unable to follow in the same footsteps as fellow summer signing Mbeumo after he finished third for the Player of the Month honour.
Manchester United’s official website announced the winner on Thursday and also revealed how Red Devils supporters ranked the top three picks for the award.
Sesko, who arrived at Old Trafford from German side RB Leipzig, secured 28 per cent of the vote and finished behind second-place Patrick Dorgu in the poll.
Patrick Dorgu secured an impressive 35 per cent of the vote from United fans, but Bruno Fernandes edged out the defender by securing 37 per cent of the vote.
Benjamin Sesko missed out on a Man Utd award to Bruno Fernandes, but there was one positive for the striker
Bruno Fernandes might have been crowned United’s September Player of the Month, but Sesko did not walk away empty-handed thanks to another Red Devils award.
Goal of the Month was awarded to the 22-year-old Slovenian forward, who opened his goalscoring account for the Red Devils in United’s 3-1 defeat to Brentford.
The Red Devils revealed that Sesko’s effort against Brentford narrowly edged out United captain Fernandes to the Goal of the Month honour for September.
Sesko secured 39 per cent of the vote from Red Devils supporters, while Fernandes’ strike against Chelsea earned him second place with 38 per cent of the vote.
Casemiro’s header in United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea at Old Trafford earned the Brazilian midfielder third place with a 23 per cent share of the vote from fans.
