Furious Manchester United fans are baffled after discovering a ‘leaked’ rating for England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo in the upcoming EA Sports FC 25.
Kobbie Mainoo had a phenomenal breakout campaign at Old Trafford and the Manchester United star was widely lauded for his emergence last season.
The 19-year-old Stockport-born player missed the opening of the 2023-24 Premier League campaign due to a pre-season injury before breaking into the first team.
Mainoo established himself as a regular under Erik ten Hag and was named in the starting XI in all 24 of his Premier League appearances last season.
The United midfielder scored three times and registered an assist in the league in the 2023-24 campaign, with Mainoo making 35 appearances across all competitions.
Mainoo also had a major impact on United’s successful FA Cup run, including scoring in the 2-1 FA Cup final win over Manchester City at Wembley in May.
The United player’s success last season led to his senior call-up with the England national team during the March international break.
Mainoo went on to play a starring role under Gareth Southgate for the Three Lions’ Euro 2024 campaign in Germany this summer.

Mainoo’s ‘leaked’ EA Sports FC 25 rating
Kobbie Mainoo was in EA Sports FC 24 and the Manchester United midfielder’s original rating was only 62.
He was initially a bronze card on EA Sports’ popular Ultimate Team mode in FC 24, with Mainoo possessing three-star skill moves and a two-star weak foot.
Mainoo’s FC 24 rating had him with 74 pace, 55 shooting, 57 passing, 66 dribbling, 58 defending and 67 physical, according to EA’s official website.
Fut Sheriff on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has now posted a ‘leaked’ rating for Mainoo in the forthcoming EA Sports FC 25.
According to Fut Sheriff, Mainoo has seen a monster upgrade and his overall has increased by a staggering 15 points.
Gold-rated for Ultimate Team in FC 25, Mainoo’s 77-rated card has 74 pace, 66 shooting, 74 passing, 81 dribbling, 73 defending and 72 physical.
Mainoo has also seen an upgrade from a two-star weak foot to a three-star weak foot from FC 24 to FC 25.
Man Utd fans react to Mainoo’s FC 25 rating
Despite the significant upgrade in Mainoo’s rating, United fans were furious that the England midfielder’s overall did not cross the 80 mark after his impact last season.
Other Red Devils supporters were also baffled at how Mainoo had received the same rating as Antony, who deeply disappointed in his season at Old Trafford.
“Antony and Mainoo [as the] same rating is absolutely criminal,” one fan said.
Another commented: “Mainoo having the same rating [as] Antony is diabolical.”
Someone else added: “Why does Mainoo have a lower rating than [Alejandro] Garnacho? Why does Antony have the same rating as him???”
A fourth asked: “How is Antony the same rating as Mainoo?”
“Woke up to this and still can’t [believe] how Antony is the same rating [as] Mainoo. What a morning it is,” another tweeted.
While a sixth X user wrote: “Antony [the] worst player in the team [and] Mainoo one of the best [this is] EA logic [with them] both [being] 77.”
And a seventh argued: “Mainoo [should be] 84 minimum, Garnacho [should be] 83, and Antony should be no higher than 75.”
Somebody else simply said: “Antony cannot/shouldn’t be on the same scale as Mainoo.”
