Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has broken his silence on the January transfer window amid uncertainty around the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Joshua Zirkzee.

Kobbie Mainoo has been tipped for a potential Old Trafford exit after the 20-year-old Manchester United midfielder has struggled for minutes in the 2025-26 season.

The Stockport-born talent has not started a single Premier League clash this season after falling down the pecking order under Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim.

Mainoo, who is currently sidelined due to a calf injury, has featured in 11 Premier League matches and his only start came in the Carabao Cup last August.

Joshua Zirkzee, much like United teammate Mainoo, is linked with an exit from the Premier League club after being sparingly used by Amorim in the current campaign.

“No, none have asked,” Amorim said on Friday afternoon, as per Manchester Evening News.

“I don’t expect them to come to me and ask anything.”

“We have no conversations in this moment about having any change in the squad.

“There is a process, there is an idea that is going to continue.

“We are near the Champions League places, but we are near also to, like, 18th behind us, so let’s focus on the next game, just that, and our focus is to win the next game.”
