Ethan Williams has made a strong first impression since joining League Two side Cheltenham Town on loan.
The 19-year-old winger is one of 17 Manchester United players on loan this season, alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.
But while the above trio are looking to get their careers back on track, Ethan Williams joined Cheltenham looking to gather experience so he can knock on Ruben Amorim’s door for a first-team call-up.
Williams was shining in United’s academy so a loan move for the remainder of the 2024/25 season made sense to give him some much-needed first-team minutes.
Since joining in January, Ethan Williams has made six appearances for Cheltenham Town in League Two and his impact has been impressive.

Ethan Williams scores his first senior goal
Just last week, Williams managed his first goal involvement in what was a blistering display in a 3-2 win against Barrow.
It was also his first start for Cheltenham with his previous four appearances coming off the bench.
Williams kept his starting spot for Cheltenham’s trip to face Newport County, and he not only added to his assist tally but also scored his first senior goal.
Williams, playing as an inverted left winger, was first to react when Newport goalkeeper Nick Townsend raced out of goal. He kept his composure to lob the keeper from outside the box.
Ethan Williams celebrates on social media
After scoring his first senior goal, Williams raced to social media to celebrate the win and another impressive display.
Williams’ post read: “This team, First senior goal, Another assist, 3 points, We keep Pushing.”
United academy teammates Ethan Wheatley, Jack Fletcher and Jack Moorhouse all replied to the post, praising Williams with a fire emoji.
