Manchester United fans have noticed a big problem ahead of Thursday’s Europa League clash.
The Red Devils are set to resume their Europa League campaign on Thursday evening against Jose Mourinho‘s Fenerbahce.
Erik ten Hag remains winless in Europe so far this season after drawing against FC Twente and Porto and it means Manchester United are down in 21st in the Europa League table.
However, confidence within the United squad should be high after the 2-1 comeback victory against Brentford on Saturday afternoon.
United will be targeting a top-eight finish in the Europa League table in order to pass straight through to the knockout stages.
United won the Europa League for the first time in 2017 under Mourinho, who they will be reunited with on Thursday evening. Ten Hag’s side are one of the favourites to lift the trophy this season.

Manchester United confirm 20-man squad vs Fenerbahce
Ten Hag will be forced to mix things up against Fenerbahce due to injuries and suspensions.
Ten Hag will have to cope without Bruno Fernandes due to the United captain being suspended after his red card against Porto.
There is also a growing injury list at United with seven senior players ruled out. Jonny Evans missed training on Wednesday and was left out of the squad, while Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, Kobbie Mainoo and Mason Mount have also missed out.
It does mean two United youngsters could make their debut against Fenerbahce after Ten Hag included Ethan Wheatley, Harry Amass and Habeen Ogunneye in the travelling squad.
The full 20-man squad was confirmed by the club on Wednesday, and fans are very concerned about one area in particular.
Man United fans stunned by midfield options vs Fenerbahce
With injuries decimating the squad’s depth, Ten Hag only has three midfielders available – yes, three.
Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Manuel Ugarte are the only three natural midfielders included in the squad, which has left Ten Hag’s options looking very unbalanced.
United fans were quick to spot this and they have given their reaction on social media…
One supporter wrote: “Just three midfielders doesn’t sound great to me” while another said: “Only three midfielders is really bad though”.
A third pointed out: “How are we bringing the same amount of goalkeepers as midfielders man”
Fans are worried about the lack of depth, with one saying: “We’re one injury away from seeing full backs in the pivot”.
Another called the situation “embarrassing” and said: “We are supposed to compete with that quality of midfielders, embarrassing!”
Finally, one supporter questioned the club’s decision to sell Scott McTominay this summer – “Why did well sell McTominay again?”
