United’s new look back four is complete after Harry Maguire’s signing was confirmed this week.
Maguire forms a quartet along with fellow new boy Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelöf and Luke Shaw.
Notably, three of the four are English, and have the potential to become the best players in their positions for England as well as United.

Shaw has had a raw deal from England for years, left out of the recent Nations League tournament after a bad end to the season.
We know how good the £27 million man he can be, and at his best he can be the country’s best left-back, ahead of Ben Chilwell and a flagging Danny Rose.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka already looks a class apart, but the right-back spot is competitive, with Kyle Walker and Trent Alexander-Arnold competing.
What we have seen of Wan-Bissaka so far has been terrific, and his all round game could be better than the pair of them.

An England call up is inevitable, and dare we say imminent.
Maguire is already England’s first choice centre-back, starring at the World Cup.
The more the trio play together for United, along with Lindelöf, then the better they will become.
Switch Lindelöf out for Axel Tuanzebe, and that’s an even bigger game changer from an international perspective.
This will help them all individually, and United’s new look defence could soon represent England’s too.
