Lisandro Martinez is set to complete his rehabilitation from injury away from Manchester United’s Carrington training base.
It has been nine months since Lisandro Martinez was stretchered off in a defeat to Crystal Palace with an ACL injury.
United fans were delighted to see Martinez return to full training at Carrington at the end of October, but he narrowly missed out on being part of Ruben Amorim’s matchday squads against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham.
Martinez will improve United’s XI on his return, so Amorim will be counting down the days until the World Cup-winning defender is back available.
In anticipation of his return, United have granted permission to Lisandro Martinez to ramp up his training back in Argentina.

Lisandro Martinez flies to join Argentina training
A few days ago, reports suggested United were considering allowing Martinez to train with Argentina over the November international break.
Despite not being called up to Lionel Scaloni’s squad, it was said that training with national teammates would provide “training at a high level” for Martinez.
According to Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, Martinez has left Carrington and flown to join up with the national squad over November.
Argentina are set to face Angola in a friendly match on November 14th, 10 days before United resume Premier League action against Everton.

Why Lisandro Martinez training with Argentina is good
Allowing Martinez to train away from Carrington may seem like a head-scratching decision, especially as the 27-year-old could have spent more time with Amorim adapting to the style of play.
However, Amorim is delighted with Martinez in training and he knows how desperate the ‘Butcher’ is to get back on the pitch.
Granting him time to train with his Argentina teammates will provide more intense sessions for Martinez as he targets his return.
At Carrington, the majority of Amorim’s squad will be away on international duty, meaning several academy players are set to step up and be involved.
Meanwhile, Argentina will have more intense match preparation sessions that Martinez can be involved with. It should build his fitness and sharpness ready for a potential return against Everton.
