Manchester United now have one eye-catching plan in mind for Argentina international Lisandro Martinez for the November international break, according to stunning reports.
Lisandro Martinez was stretchered off in the second half of Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford in February.
The 27-year-old Argentine defender suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in his knee and Martinez was ruled out of action for the second half of last season.
Martinez underwent surgery after his knee injury and the United centre-back had been recovering behind the scenes at the Premier League club in recent months.
The 2022 World Cup winner has been a key player for manager Ruben Amorim and Red Devils star Martinez returned to United first-team training in late October.

Man Utd’s stance on Argentina defender Lisandro Martinez ahead of the November international break
Lisandro Martinez has been sidelined for the opening months of the 2025-26 season and the former Ajax star has been working towards his long-awaited return.
Ruben Amorim has missed the influence of Martinez and the 40-year-old Manchester United manager is carefully managing the return of the World Cup-winning Argentine.
According to The Daily Mail, United could allow the former Ajax defender to link up with his Argentina teammates during the November international break.
The newspaper claims that the Red Devils ‘feel’ that allowing Martinez to leave Old Trafford and be part of his national side’s camp could benefit his return.
It has been suggested that United think that Argentina’s national team could provide ‘training at a high level’ for Martinez during the international period.
Man Utd’s Argentina situation could turn out to be a smart call for Lisandro Martinez
The Daily Mail reports that United don’t necessarily want Martinez to stay at the Carrington training complex while first-team players head out on international duty.
It is believed that the Red Devils would allow the ‘remainder’ of Martinez’s schedule during the November break to focus on ‘some time off and lighter workouts.’
Martinez’s influence has been sorely missed in the three-man backline of Amorim’s tactical system for United, but the player has to be eased back into the first team.
Argentina will begin their World Cup title defence next summer in North America after the reigning champions secured their qualification to the tournament last month.
Lionel Scaloni’s men, who finished top of their World Cup qualifying table for South American teams, will play Angola during the November international break.
