England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo took a cheeky swipe at new Manchester United summer signing Leny Yoro after footage emerged from the team’s night out in Manchester.
Manchester United beat Real Madrid in the race to sign Leny Yoro this summer, with the Red Devils signing the Frenchman from Lille in a deal worth £52.18m.
Yoro had emerged as one of Europe’s rising talents after the 18-year-old centre-back broke into the Lille first team and impressed for the Ligue 1 side.
Erik ten Hag wasted no time in integrating Yoro into his Manchester United first team and used the former Lille defender during pre-season this summer.
However, the United manager was dealt a major blow after Yoro was forced off in the first half of the 2-1 friendly defeat to Arsenal in the United States.
Yoro was spotted wearing a protective boot and using crutches at the Red Devils’ UCLA training base last month after the Arsenal match at the SoFi stadium.

Mainoo’s message to Man Utd star Yoro
Leny Yoro successfully underwent surgery on his injury earlier this month and the Manchester United summer signing is expected to be sidelined until October.
United confirmed that the Frenchman’s rehabilitation had started in August and he would need “around three months” before returning to fitness.
Yoro is likely to miss nine Premier League matches for United this season, including key fixtures against the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Aston Villa.
The United defender is also expected to be absent from the start of the Red Devils’ campaign in the Europa League and campaign in the Carabao Cup.
Despite his injury setback, Yoro was spotted with his United teammates on a team-bonding night out in Manchester this week.
According to The Daily Mail, the United players had a night out at the Chinese restaurant Tattu Manchester, which is based on Gartside Street in Spinningfields.
Footage has now emerged on TikTok – and later reposted on X, formerly known as Twitter – of a hilarious moment between Kobbie Mainoo and Yoro.
Mainoo is sat inside the car with new United signing Joshua Zirkzee as Yoro tossed his crutches into the vehicle before climbing in himself.
The 19-year-old United midfielder can be spotted picking up one of Yoro’s crutches while simultaneously poking fun at his teammate’s speed.
“Leny, you’re so slow bro,” Mainoo hilariously said.
Ten Hag on summer signing Yoro
Erik ten Hag has raved about the mentality of Yoro and called United’s summer signing “very mature” and “very balanced” after his injury setback.
“He expresses one of the reasons why we signed him,” he told Sky Sports earlier this month.
“Very mature, great personality, dealing with it, looking forward, be positive. He’s already started his rehab.
“A fire is burning there. As I say, for his age, he is already very mature and very balanced. You don’t get him distracted.
“He knows what he wants he knows where he wants to go and I’m sure he will be returning as soon as possible to support the team and he will help the team winning games and winning trophies.”
