Kobbie Mainoo has signed his new Manchester United contract this week, with plenty of his teammates reacting to the news.
After two years of speculation over Kobbie Mainoo’s contract situation at Manchester United there has been a conclusion this week.
United have locked Mainoo down to a new contract which runs until at least 2031. This is news which has been very well received by both fans and other players at the club.
Director of football Jason Wilcox hailed Mainoo as ‘world-class’, which showcases how well United have done to lock him down for the future. Now, Mainoo has taken to social media with his own reaction to the news.

How Kobbie Mainoo reacted to his new contract at Manchester United
Mainoo’s contract is a net-positive at the club, with the only loser from this being Ruben Amorim, as Mainoo further vindicates himself.
After the announcement, Mainoo took to his Instagram to share a message.
“Proud to sign for 5 more years, blessed to call this place home”, the 21-year-old wrote.
In response to this post, Mainoo had plenty of teammates commenting.
Reacting to Mainoo’s contract announcement, Bruno Fernandes posted on his own Instagram story, saying “Congrats kid! Well deserved”, along with a heart emoji.
Other responses came from Harry Maguire and Ayden Heaven who sent emojis, a heart eyes and a heart respectively.
Tom Heaton wrote, “Congrats Kobs”, with a heart. While Tyler Fredricson said, “Only right”.
Mainoo’s impact on the academy is seen as talents from the youth system also commented.
JJ Gabriel sent a clapping emoji, while Amir Ibragimov added two fire emojis.

It wasn’t just fans and his teammates who hailed Mainoo with praise after his contract decision.
Mainoo’s agent David Lockwood also posted on his Instagram with a kind message to Mainoo, after admitting that the talks had dragged on.
“It’s been a long time coming but finally we were able to agree a new contract for Kobbie.
“To Kobbie’s family, thank you for your continued support, I’m so glad we were able to get the deal done.
“And most importantly to you Kobbie, you know I think the world of you, a humble, super talented athlete, you have the world at your feet, it’s your time now, ‘just do what you do’”
