Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo made their feelings perfectly clear to Manchester United fans over a “fantastic player” who has arrived at Old Trafford this summer.
Ruben Amorim has been able to improve key areas of the Manchester United first-team squad this summer, including bolstering his attacking options in the final third.
Matheus Cunha was the first high-profile summer signing to arrive at Old Trafford after United sealed the stunning transfer from Premier League side Wolves in June.
Bryan Mbeumo was also a key target alongside Matheus Cunha and United’s third – and final – bid for the 26-year-old former Brentford star was accepted in July.
Joining both Bryan Mbeumo and Cunha at the Premier League club this summer as part of the new-look attack has been Benjamin Sesko, who was signed in August.

Casemiro is in awe of what Matheus Cunha can bring to Man Utd for the 2025-26 Premier League season
Casemiro has played alongside Manchester United summer signing Matheus Cunha for Brazil and he has now linked up with his international teammate at Old Trafford.
Cunha had a £62.5m release clause in his Wolves contract in the summer and United triggered the clause and completed the signing early in the transfer window.
The 26-year-old Brazil forward impressed with Wolves last season, with Cunha scoring an impressive 17 times and registering six assists in 36 matches.
Speaking to United’s official media for their ‘First Impressions’ series, Casemiro highlighted the “quality” that Cunha will bring to United on the pitch in attack.
“He’s a young player with a lot of ambition,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“And well, I’m sure he’s going to be really important for us, not just for scoring goals. But also the quality he has in many ways will carry us in the attacking third.
Casemiro added: “He is an incredible person. For me, what I value and what I like to speak about with these people is the personal side.
“Because ultimately, everyone in the world knows what Cunha is: a fantastic player.”
Kobbie Mainoo’s reaction to Man Utd teammate Matheus Cunha after Casemiro’s glowing praise
Cunha impressed United fans on Sunday after he made his lively Premier League debut for the Red Devils vs Arsenal at Old Trafford, which ended in a 1-0 defeat.
The former Wolves ace played the full match against the Gunners and Cunha started the Premier League tie alongside Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount in attack.
Kobbie Mainoo admitted that he knew that Cunha would be the real deal after the impact that the Brazil international had against United in the 2024-25 campaign.
“Top guy, really nice guy,” he said.
“Obviously, everyone knows how good of a player he is, especially last season with the amount of goals he scored and even against us.
“In training and in games, so far he has looked really good and I have enjoyed playing with him.
“He loves football and he is really excited when we are playing. He’s a top guy, a really nice guy.”
Following United’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal in their opening Premier League match of the 2025-26 campaign, the Red Devils will now travel away to face Fulham on Sunday.
