Shea Lacey is winning rave reviews for his progress at Manchester United, and he has caught the eye of a first team star too.
Manchester United’s academy is thriving right now, there is an overflow of top young talent aiming to make the next step.
One of the most highly rated young players at the club is Shea Lacey, who has been training with Manchester United’s first team at times this season.
Lacey has shaken off some of the injury troubles which had delayed his progress, playing 90 minutes for the under-21s for the very first time earlier this season.
His performances in training have earned rave reviews, as he continues to try and show Ruben Amorim that he is worthy of a first team call up.

Joshua Zirkzee taking notice
Ahead of the weekend’s games, Shea Lacey posted a series of photos on Instagram displaying his recent work at Carrington.
One image was of Lacey warming up in the gym, and the other two were of him on the grass at the training ground.
There were a number of responses to Lacey’s message from his Manchester United academy teammates, plus first team star Joshua Zirkzee.
Zirkzee showed his enthusiasm for Lacey’s potential, leaving a short response with a ‘fire emoji’ symbol and three exclamation marks.
There were also responses from Lacey’s academy teammates Gabriel Biancheri, Samuel Lusale, Sam Mather, Jim Thwaites and loanee Ethan Wheatley.

Shea Lacey is on Ruben Amorim’s radar
Shea Lacey played for Manchester United on the club’s postseason tour and he showed a few nice touches in his very brief performance.
It was a symbolic nod of approval from Ruben Amorim, who could yet hand Lacey his real debut before the season concludes.
Lacey has two goals and three assists for the under-21s so far this season. He also recently made his England under-20s debut, after impressively being called up to train with the senior England squad.
