Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee, just awaiting official confirmation.
Joshua Zirkzee’s move for Manchester United was set to be sealed after the Netherlands were eliminated from Euro 2024.
The brilliant Kobbie Mainoo helped speed this along, with England defeating Netherlands in the semi-final.
Mainoo was spotted embracing Zirkzee at the final whistle, and his Manchester United deal is almost done.

Joshua Zirkzee was a late addition to the Netherlands squad at Euro 2024 after an injury saw Frenkie de Jong ruled out.
Dutch boss Ronald Koeman decided to call up an extra attacker, with Zirkzee chosen, despite having no senior international caps.
This meant Zirkzee got very limited game time at the tournament, making his international debut, but in two late substitute appearances.
The Dutch were crestfallen to be defeated in the semi-finals, and Zirkzee has now posted a message on Instagram.
He wrote: “A big let down last night. It was a dream come true to be part of this team (yet still) and I am proud and grateful to wear this shirt. Orange fans, thank you for your support.”

Joshua Zirkzee’s transfer to Manchester United could be completed over the weekend.
David Ornstein posted on X: “Joshua Zirkzee scheduled to fly into UK tonight & undergo medical on Friday ahead of completing move from Bologna to Manchester United. 23yo Dutch striker joining #MUFC for €42.5m spread over 3yrs, on 5+1yr contract.”
Zirkzee will become Manchester United’s first summer signing with more set to follow. His Dutch teammate Matthijs de Ligt is expected to be next to join the Red Devils.
