Jaydan Kamason has impressed in Manchester United’s pre-season, but he is aware that his short-term future likely lies away from Old Trafford.
In the recent 5-0 win over Rosenborg in pre-season, Jaydan Kamason impressed in a right-back role in the second half.
Kamason was tipped to break through this summer, and the 19-year-old is finally getting an opportunity to shine while Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui rest and recover from their 2026 World Cup campaigns.
But when Dalot and Mazraoui do return to the first-team squad, Kamason is under no illusion that he might have to gather experience out on loan.

Jaydan Kamason prepared to go on loan
Kamason is one of United’s most exciting wonderkids breaking through from the academy at the moment, but he needs to be playing regularly to maintain his development.
Speaking to Stretford Paddock, Kamason admitted that he is prepared to go out on loan. But he also made it clear that his long-term vision is to succeed as a United player.
“I’m always aspiring to reach that level. If I need a few loans or whatever, then that’s the case,” Kamason said.
“But obviously, I’m trying to get to the top, and that’s Man United, so I’ve just got to keep pushing.”

Noussair Mazraoui exit could pave the way for Jaydan Kamason
United are not full of depth in the right-back position, but Kamason does find himself behind both Dalot and Mazraoui in the pecking order.
However, with Mazraoui changing agency this summer transfer window, speculation is starting to grow around his club future.

There has already been interest shown in Mazraoui by Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan, and if a move does come to fruition, then it could provide a golden opportunity for Kamason.
Expect Kamason to be considered for a loan this season, likely to the Championship in a similar move to the one that has helped Harry Amass’ development as a full-back.
