Manchester United’s newest star Jadon Sancho has been getting settled in this week ahead of the new season.

Now in an interview with BT Sport’s former United star Rio Ferdinand, Sancho has been talking about how he has been enjoying it.

Sancho says he has been enthused by getting to know teammate Bruno Fernandes.

Sancho said: “Today we was on the same team and we linked up very well, me and him love winning so I’m glad me and Bruno have the same mindset because it is needed in a big team like this, to learn how to win in training and in matches, it’s important.”

Great to hear

United fans have been hoping Sancho and Fernandes would be in the same team for around two years now, and it is finally becoming a reality.

While Sancho is only likely to be on the bench against Leeds after a short pre-season, we should get a glimpse of him in the opener this Saturday.

He did add in his interview that he feels prepared, commenting: “I feel ready. Today in training I felt sharp and hopefully I can get introduced into the game on Saturday.”

Fernandes scored 28 goals and provided 18 assists last season for United, while Sancho scored 16 and created 19 goals for Dortmund.

The prospect of them playing in the same team is hugely exciting and a scary one for opposing defenders.

United are going to be even more dangerous now Sancho has arrived, and when Marcus Rashford is fit again after his operation, the attack can really click.

Mason Greenwood is expected to feature in attack at the weekend, with Anthony Martial still behind on his fitness, while Edinson Cavani only arrived back in Manchester yesterday.
