Manchester United opened the club’s January transfer activity last week with a move for goalkeeper Jack Butland.
Butland was assigned the number 31 shirt which was given to Martin Dubravka in the first half of the season. before his recall.
The Crystal Palace owned goalkeeper was pictured at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, but he was not named among the substitutes.

Erik ten Hag had said he would consider using Butland if he had done enough to impress in training. Ultimately it was Tom Heaton who got the nod, making his first ever start for the club.
Butland is continuing to settle in, and until now, no pictures have been released of the new goalkeeper training at Carrington.

The first ones have now been released, from Thursday’s training session, with Manchester United preparing for the derby.
Butland shared a picture via his Instagram account, stepping out at Carrington along with Scott McTominay, with Tom Heaton, Fred and Victor Lindelof pictured background.
At present Butland is United’s third choice, with David de Gea number one, and he will be competing with Heaton to win the back-up spot, and potentially a Carabao Cup semi-final or FA Cup appearance.
Second deal set to be announced
Jack Butland is the first of at least two Manchester United signings this transfer window, with the second deal set to be announced.
BBC Sport report a loan move for Wout Weghorst has been agreed, pending official confirmation, expected to be later today.
