Ruben Amorim has brought in upheaval on and off the pitch at Manchester United in just over two months at the club and he’s not stopping anytime soon.

Man Utd have been due a “shock” for a long time now and Ruben Amorim has taken it upon himself to deliver it, even if it means some uncomfortable moments, to begin with.

Amidst four wins in 12 in the Premier League, the Europa League has been his safe heave, where Amorim is sitting alongside esteemed company when it comes to Man Utd managers.

In the lead-up to the final league game of the group stage in Europa against FCSB, Amorim has revealed he’s written one thing on the board in the dressing room. It’s “so important”.

Man Utd’s dressing room hasn’t been the calmest place in recent weeks, being witness to Ruben Amorim’s heated outburst after the loss to Brighton.

However, it is necessary to remind the players of an important thing daily which is why Amorim has written one thing on the board in the dressing room.

With Man United’s destiny in their own hands regarding finishing in the top-eight of the Europa League and avoiding the playoffs, Amorim revealed he’s written that message on the board in the dressing room in an interview with TNT Sports.

He said: “It’s there on the board in our dressing room. We need to clean those two weeks [by finishing in the top eight and avoiding an extra two games of playoffs].

“It’s so important, not just the training, but even to prepare for the games of the Premier League. They are so demanding. We need to focus a lot on the way they move.

“We need everything to win [against FCSB]. It’s really, really important for us.”

Ruben Amorim will get what he wants if Man Utd win

United only need a point against FCSB to secure a place in the top eight of the league stage and that will give Amorim exactly what he needs.

He has kept stressing the importance of having time on the training pitch with his players so he can impart his ideas but just hasn’t been able to do it.

That’s because the team is stuck in a constant cycle of match prep-playing game-cooldown-match prep due to a stacked fixture list.

Amorim said: “I think we need training. Sometimes it’s a little bit boring because I’m saying always the same thing. Even winning the games, I can see the performances, and sometimes there is a lack of threat, sometimes there is a lack of possession.”

Amorim’s demand is clear and the players need to step up in Romania. Otherwise, a board might fall in the dressing room after the TV did against Brighton.
