Italian media point out ‘chilling’ Rasmus Hojlund stat that proves Man Utd were right to sell him

Manchester United are set to cash in on Rasmus Hojlund once his permanent buy clause is triggered at Napoli.

Once Napoli qualify for the Champions League, they are obligated to pay £38m to sign Rasmus Hojlund permanently.

A shock Napoli defeat last week meant United were made to wait for Hojlund’s sale, but it could be confirmed this Sunday when they face Pisa in Serie A.

However, Hojlund’s terrible form at Napoli suggests they may struggle in front of goal…

Will Benjamin Sesko WIN the “Sesko vs Hojlund” debate?

Is there even a debate to be had or has he already won it?

Rasmus Hojlund’s shot stat at Napoli is ‘chilling’

Hojlund has 10 goals in Serie A this season, but his latest came back in March against Lecce.

It means Hojlund has gone eight games without a goal for the Italian side, but even worse than that, he has not even attempted a shot on target in his last six matches.

The stat was pointed out by Italian outlet CalcioNapoli, who described it as a “chilling” statistic.

Hojlund has started in all six of his last Serie A matches, but failed to register even one shot on target.

Benjamin Sesko is already eclipsing Rasmus Hojlund

While Hojlund is struggling to even get shots away, no one is outscoring Benjamin Sesko in 2026.

Since the turn of the year, Sesko has been on a scoring streak and he is already starting to justify his £66m transfer fee.

Sesko has already hit his goal target for the season, and his hold up play is also far superior to that of Hojlund.

This season, there were reports that United staff believe Sesko is a major upgrade on Hojlund, and now we are starting to see why that is the case.
