Manchester United academy star Tyler Fletcher has made his international breakthrough with Scotland.
Ahead of the 2026 World Cup this summer, Manchester United youngster Tyler Fletcher was called up to the Scotland squad.
Fletcher made his Scotland debut against Curacao this week, just days after he featured in United’s 3-0 win over Brighton on the final day of the Premier League season.
Scotland manager Steve Clarke praised Fletcher for his performance on the international stage, and it seems teammates were just as impressed by his performance.

Scotland star piles praise on Tyler Fletcher
After his impressive debut, Fletcher has been called up to Scotland’s World Cup squad this summer, and it seems he made a very strong first impression on his debut.
As quoted by the Daily Record, Scotland star Kenny McLean spoke very highly of the United youngster.
“People speak about the future, but a lot of these young lads are the present,” McLean said.
“We have had a few in with us this week, and I have been so impressed. We are in good hands going forward, I am sure of that. And when the time is right for them to really establish themselves, the manager will choose the right time for them.
“Tyler came on and I can’t speak highly enough of him. I said to the lads after his first session: ‘I can see something special in him’, so I was glad he got on after the week he has had.
“In my first couple of squads, I played with his dad and, for me, in my first session, he [Darren] stood out a mile.
“Fortunately for Scotland, his son is pretty similar. There is a lot of potential there. It’s about using him in the right way.”

Fletcher has a hugely exciting summer ahead of him, after being included in Scotland’s World Cup squad.
The 19-year-old’s Scotland debut could not have gone much better, with Clarke and his teammates raving about his performance on the pitch and in training.
Because of Billy Gilmour’s injury, Scotland confirmed on Sunday that Fletcher has received a call-up to participate in this summer’s tournament.
