Ineos could have pulled off a key transfer that would solve one “problem” that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has faced at Old Trafford during his reign.
Ruben Amorim found himself under the limelight after the mixed start to the 2025-26 campaign for Manchester United, with the manager facing early pressure.
The Red Devils were able to pick up their first win of the new season ahead of the September break, with United defeating Burnley 3-2 in the Premier League.
United hosted Burnley at Old Trafford and a late penalty from Bruno Fernandes deep into second-half stoppage time ensured all three points for the Red Devils.
United manager Amorim has now secured breathing room going into the September international period, with the Red Devils ninth in the Premier League table.

Ineos have been backed over their Man Utd transfer decision to sign Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp
Ineos went on a summer spending spree and reinforced the attacking options within the Manchester United first-team squad with their big-money acquisitions.
Ruben Amorim also received a major boost with Ineos landing a new shot-stopper, with United signing Senne Lammens from Belgian Pro League side Royal Antwerp.
Senne Lammens was announced as a United player on deadline day on Monday, with the Red Devils paying an initial fee of £18.1m to secure the Belgian’s services.
Royal Antwerp legend Paul Bistiaux has now suggested that Ineos might have found the “ultimate solution” to Amorim’s “goalkeeping problem” at the Red Devils.
“Well, it’s my honest opinion that [he] will do well for United, but I hope you don’t confront me with my statements in a couple of months,” he said on the ‘United! United! United!’ YouTube channel.
“Well, I really, I wouldn’t say so if I wasn’t convinced. And I think everyone in Belgium is convinced that Senne Lammens will do well for United.
“I think he could be the ultimate solution to Manchester United’s goalkeeping problem.”
Man Utd sent a clear-cut message about Senne Lammens and what Royal Antwerp legend Paul Bistiaux wants to see from the club
United’s deal for Senne Lammens included add-ons for Royal Antwerp and the 23-year-old Belgian shot-stopper has inked a deal with the Red Devils until 2030.
Paul Bistiaux has insisted that United must be patient with Lammens as he transitions to the Premier League and has backed him to succeed at the club.
“The only thing that I’m hopeful is that he gets the chance [and] that he doesn’t get booed off the pitch, you know, the first time he… [even] the best goalkeeper in the world sometimes makes a mistake,” he continued.
“I mean, anyone can make mistakes. So, I hope he gets a decent chance and the fans will give him some credit and I think it’s going to work out.
“And I must add that we in Belgium, but especially we in Royal Antwerp, are very proud, obviously, that our goalkeeper is picked up by a world-class club like Manchester United. It shines us.”
Lammens, who will wear the No 31 shirt at United, could make his debut in the first match back after the September break against Manchester City at the Etihad.
