Wayne Rooney has put the focus on one major detail at Manchester United in the 2025-26 Premier League season under the Ineos regime at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have only three Premier League matches left in their campaign ahead of the Red Devils’ visit to the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon.
Ineos have already had a huge boost going forward after the Red Devils secured their place back in the Champions League competition in the 2026-27 season.

Ineos face a big summer ahead of them, including making the decision to appoint the long-term successor to Ruben Amorim as Manchester United’s next manager
Michael Carrick’s interim head coach reign will end after this season, but the United legend has been tipped as a potential candidate for the full-time managerial gig.
The 44-year-old interim boss has moved the Red Devils to third in the Premier League table after inheriting a United first-team squad who were sixth in the table.
Wayne Rooney has now admitted that a variation of factors could happen this summer ahead of Man Utd mounting a Premier League title challenge next season.
“I think it’s got to be interesting in summer,” he said on BBC Sport’s The Wayne Rooney Show.
“I think it depends on what happens with Pep [Guardiola]. Obviously, if what I expect is that Arsenal go on to win the league, how they kick on, what Liverpool do, if Arnie Slot’s is still there or not, how they adapt the squad.
“So, I think Chelsea will as well.”

Rooney did not outright say whether or not he thinks the Red Devils could compete for the title, but the United icon has noticed the “calmness” at Old Trafford now.
“It’s a really interesting summer, this summer,” he added.
“But I think actually for the first time in a long time, Man United look like they’ve got a bit of calmness about the whole place, which is always a good thing.”
