Arsenal hero Ian Wright has broken his silence after Manchester United legends Roy Keane and Gary Neville were stunned by his pre-match prediction for the Bournemouth clash.

Neville wasted no time in taking to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his reaction to United’s shock 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth.

United produced a poor display at Old Trafford on Saturday, with Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi all scoring past Andre Onana in the contest.

Bruno Fernandes was also booked during the Premier League defeat and the 29-year-old United captain will now miss out on the trip to Anfield next Sunday.

The United midfielder broke his silence after the humiliating defeat to Bournemouth, with manager Erik ten Hag also disappointed with what he saw from his men.

Ten Hag has a tough test in the coming week when United face Bayern Munich in the Champions League before their Premier League showdown with Liverpool.

What did Wright say on United vs Bournemouth?

Speaking on The Overlap, Neville and fellow Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher teamed up against Keane and Wright in head-to-head Premier League predictions.

Neville and Carragher agreed on a 2-0 scoreline for United, but Wright stunned Keane when he admitted that he didn’t think Ten Hag’s men would win the tie.

“I don’t think United are beating Bournemouth. I don’t,” Wright said on the Stick to Football show.

“I trust my feelings. You [Keane] always had the last say. You always had the last say. But my gut feeling says, I don’t feel it, bro.”

Keane managed to change Wright’s position and the pair agreed on a 2-1 scoreline to United, but the Arsenal legend has now had the last laugh.

Wright’s reaction to Bournemouth’s win vs United

Following United’s defeat to Bournemouth, Wright wasted no time in taking to X and sharing a clip of his initial prediction with his 2.2m social media followers.

The 60-year-old ex-Arsenal star, who slammed one United star’s performance against Bournemouth, said he was being ‘cooked’ in the comments for his prediction.

“They were cooking me in the comments,” Wright tweeted, tagging both Neville and Carragher in his message.

It’s safe to say the next instalment of The Overlap’s ‘Super 6’ predictions between Wright, Neville, Carragher and Keane will make for an interesting watch.
