Former Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri made his Burnley debut in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
Less than 12 hours after Burnley announced that they had signed the Tunisian, Hannibal Mejbri was out on the pitch at Molineux for his debut.
Hannibal joined the Lancashire side on Wednesday for a fee reported to be in the region of £5.4 million initially, which can then rise to £9.4 million through add-ons, a healthy figure for Manchester United.
The once wonderkid then penned an emotional goodbye to Manchester United fans. But now, mere hours after completing the move, he has made his debut.

Hannibal makes debut
So on the day he signed, Hannibal was tossed straight into the starting line-up for Burnley and he only lasted 45 minutes.
Hannibal started as a midfielder and played the opening half in a 2-0 defeat to Wolves – with the decision to take him off likely due to fitness and the fact he only just joined.
Quite remarkably, Hannibal was not booked on his debut, which is something which we have become accustomed to in his young career so far, with plenty of yellow cards in his past.
As the Clarets went crashing out of the Carabao, Hannibal had a solid outing as he became familiar with his teammates, while also getting up to speed.
Hannibal completed 17 passes from 23 attempts (74%) in the game. Three of these were into the final third as he displayed his creativity from midfield.
He won 1 tackle of 1 attempted while making two defensive actions and three recoveries along with winning four duels.

Appearance number one is in the books for United’s 239th academy graduate Hannibal, and he’ll be delighted to get it out of the way. Before the game, he was interviewed by Burnley club media.
“I’m very excited”, Hannibal began, before continuing to praise Turf Moor.
“Very happy to be here and I can’t wait to see the fans. I have played against Burnley before at Turf Moor and the atmosphere was amazing.”
Hannibal of course started at Turf Moor last season arguably his best performance for Manchester United.
“After speaking to the coach [Scott Parker] the project sounded good to me and hopefully we can make success.”
Hearing how excited Hannibal is to complete the move is great – as we hope he succeeds even though it won’t be at United.
