How Bruno Fernandes brilliantly mocked Manchester City fans at full-time in Manchester United derby win

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been through some real highs and lows since joining the club in 2020.

The biggest high for Bruno Fernandes in a Manchester United shirt was the FA Cup Final victory over City back in June.

There are many lows he has experienced – and a three previous losses at The Etihad will be among them.

The 4-1 loss was particularly painful, with United barely getting a kick as Ralf Rangnick’s side were outclassed and embarrassed.

United and Bruno Fernandes did taste victory away at City in 2021, with Fernandes scoring an early penalty – but it was not quite the same, there were no fans in attendance, with United supporters unable to savour winning on the road.

Fernandes makes the most of win

Bruno Fernandes was determined to make the most of this one – spotted taunting a City fan following the win.

No doubt responding to some provocation, Fernandes pointed to the scoreboard and gestured ‘2-1’ with his fingers.

And you could see from the huge grin on his face that he was absolutely loving it.

Fernandes kept his nerve

Bruno Fernandes can hold his head high after scoring the equalising penalty in Manchester United’s win, after Amad was fouled inside the box.

Fernandes kept his nerve to score from 12 yards out, netting his sixth goal of the season. He also has 10 assists.

The club captain wrote on Instagram: “A good end to a good week. Thanks for your support as always reds.”
