Gary Neville has explained that Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Elliot Anderson would be one of his top three transfer targets for Manchester United.
Elliot Anderson has been on Manchester United’s transfer radar this season amid the Red Devils’ need to replace Brazil midfielder Casemiro in the summer window.
The 23-year-old England international is under contract with Nottingham Forest until 2029 and has been linked with the likes of Manchester City in recent months.
Man Utd face a tough task in signing Anderson at the end of the season, with Forest expected to demand a hefty transfer fee of around £120m for his services.

IF Elliot Anderson signs for Man City, who would be your TOP PRIORITY midfield alternative?
Why Gary Neville wants Elliot Anderson at Man Utd alongside two other high-profile Premier League names
Speaking on Sky Sports, Gary Neville was asked who would be in his top three summer signings for former side Manchester United if he were in charge.
United legend Neville revealed that he had both ‘dream signings’ in mind, as well as what would be ‘realistic’ acquisitions for the Ineos regime at Old Trafford.
“Dream world, it would be Marquinhos, [Declan] Rice and [Harry] Kane,” he said.
Outside of his desire to see United sign the likes of Marquinhos, Declan Rice and Harry Kane, Neville’s more ‘realistic’ target picks included Elliot Anderson.
Joining Nottingham Forest midfielder Anderson on the list were none other than Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali and Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa.
“Realistic, I’m going Tonali, Elliot Anderson and I’m going [Ezri] Konsa,” Neville added.

Gary Neville on where Man Utd must strengthen the squad in the transfer window at all costs
Neville insisted that the Red Devils must spend this summer window looking to secure two midfielders and a new centre-back option for the club’s next manager.
“If you said three, I’d want two midfield players and a centre-half,” he said.
“That’s where, if you said to me a top centre-half and two good midfield players, that’s what this squad needs right now, then, to be fair, probably does need other things after that.
“But I would say, to me, they dealt with the wide areas: they’ve got Amad [Diallo], [Bryan] Mbeumo, [Matheus] Cunha [and] [Mason] Mount, who can play there a little bit, so I’m actually okay with that.
“I think number 10s with Mount and [Bruno] Fernandes – Bruno plays every week, so he’s reliable, so I’d say no problem.
“It’s two central midfield players and definitely a centre-half. We need a top centre-half.”
Man Utd have only four Premier League matches remaining this season and the Red Devils will return to action against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
