Manchester United legend Gary Neville did not pass up the opportunity to quiz Coleen Rooney about a strange habit belonging to former teammate Wayne Rooney.
Wayne Rooney is widely regarded as one of the best Premier League strikers of all time and the Manchester United legend had a prolific spell at Old Trafford.
Signed from Everton in 2004, the 39-year-old former United and England striker had a sensational impact at the Red Devils and became the club’s all-time leading scorer.
Rooney lifted five Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, a Europa League, an FA Cup and three League Cups during his time at United.
The United legend scored an impressive 253 times in 559 appearances for the Red Devils before he left Old Trafford and returned to boyhood club Everton in 2017.

Neville talks to Coleen about Rooney
Coleen Rooney was featured on the most recent Stick to Football episode alongside Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright, Roy Keane and Jill Scott.
She opened up about her own personal experiences, including her 2024 appearance on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, and her relationship with Wayne Rooney.
During her appearance on The Overlap’s show, Coleen was asked about her husband’s interesting habit of sleeping with a hairdryer during the night.
“Wayne sleeps with a hairdryer on, I take it you’re listening to the hairdryer?” Neville asked.
Responding to Neville, Coleen said: “It’s a fan when I’m in bed with him.”
United legend Neville wasted no time playfully suggesting to the 38-year-old former I’m a Celebrity star if was a ‘blowy one’ before Coleen hit back.
“No, not people,” Coleen replied.
“But when I’m not there or if I get up, I hear and go get the hairdryer, if he’s still in bed, he goes and gets the hairdryer. It’s gone on fire before.
She added: “Yeah [it’s dangerous]. It’s on cool but this one time he said that he was cold and left it on hot… he burnt his toe!”
Why does Rooney sleep with hairdryer on?
Rooney, who was axed as head coach from Plymouth Argyle in late December, previously spoke about his hairdryer habit on a past Stick to Football episode.
“I’ve done that a few times where I’ve fell asleep, I like to have a sleep in the afternoons as well,” he said.
“When I go to sleep, I sleep with the hairdryer on blowing in my face […].”
The United and England legend added: “I’ve tried all different things, I’ve tried the apps, I’ve tried everything.”
