Galatasaray are suffering with a couple of injury problems ahead of their clash against Manchester United, according to reports.

After five wins in six Premier League games for Erik ten Hag’s side, Manchester United look to be on the up but it will be a tough test away in Turkey for the Red Devils on Wednesday.

United’s future in the Champions League is hanging by a thread at this moment in time and another loss against Galatasaray will seal their fate in the competition.

The Red Devils lost 3-2 to Galatasaray at Old Trafford back in October, partly down to some calamitous defending and indeed goalkeeping from the now-in-form Andre Onana.

Galatasaray’s injury problems

United will need all the luck they can get when they travel to take on the Turkish giants with a win needed at all costs. Had the Red Devils won in Copenhagen, the pressure wouldn’t have been so high but as it is, United need a win.

It’s no secret that United have had swathes of injury problems but it is the Turkish side who have some injury doubts ahead of the vital European fixture.

Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez suffered a grade two strain in his upper left rear muscle according to a report from Turkish outlet Sabah.

An MRI was reportedly taken to understand the severity of the Colombian’s injury but, despite this, the defender looks set to be available for the game.

The Turkish side have another injury issue to contend with before that clash with United on Wednesday as defender Abdülkerim Bardakcı is also a doubt for the clash as he is suffering from a small problem, it doesn’t state what that problem is but he will undergo a test before the game.

United’s need for victory

The Red Devils will be all too familiar with the injury struggles that Galatasaray are currently going through as they themselves have a multitude of injury problems.

Luke Shaw made his long-awaited return from injury but it is unclear whether other injured stars like Rasmus Hojlund or Christian Eriksen will be available for Wednesday’s game.

No matter what, United need a win against the Turkish side and have to believe that the team that started the game against Everton will be good enough to get a victory to keep their hopes of Champions League qualification alive.
