Fulham player Alex Iwobi has claimed that Manchester United No 1 Andre Onana “didn’t see” him coming after he scored an injury-time winner at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Manchester United suffered a devastating blow to their Premier League top-four challenge after Marco Silva’s men snatched all three points on the weekend.
Calvin Bassey fired Fulham into a first-half lead in the second half before former United captain Harry Maguire cancelled out the opener in the 89th minute.
However, United were unable to rescue a point from their Premier League match after Alex Iwobi smashed the ball past a helpless Andre Onana deep in injury time.
The Red Devils underwhelmed in their performance against Fulham, with United boss Erik ten Hag missing Rasmus Hojlund for the clash due to injury.
Omari Forson made his first Premier League start for United, but the Red Devils teenager failed to impress fans with his display in the first half at Old Trafford.

Iwobi on Onana and Man Utd
Manchester United had won their last four Premier League matches ahead of Fulham inflicting their defeat on Erik ten Hag’s men on the weekend.
The Red Devils had picked up six victories out of seven across all competitions since the start of 2024, with Fulham ending United’s unbeaten run since January.
According to the Premier League’s Matchday Live, Alex Iwobi spoke out after Fulham’s big win and how his side had to be “brave” and “trust” in themselves.
The 27-year-old former Arsenal and Everton man revealed that Andre Onana had received the “eyes” from him before he slotted the ball past him in injury time.
“It was a tough game, we knew it was going to be a tough game,” Iwobi said.
“To break that record is a great feeling. We knew we had to be brave, trust in our ability and we’d be able to hurt them.
“We created so many opportunities and it’s about taking them. It was about staying composed.
“I gave the ‘keeper [Onana] the eyes, I could see where he was when I took my first touch. I slotted it near post and he didn’t see it coming.”
Ten Hag still pushing for top four
United are currently sixth in the Premier League table and the Red Devils are three points behind fifth-place Tottenham and eight points behind fourth-place Aston Villa.
Despite the setback against Fulham, Red Devils boss Ten Hag insisted that United’s top-four Premier League ambitions are far from over.
United face a tough test in their Premier League top-four challenge on Sunday, as the Red Devils will travel to the Etihad for their showdown with Manchester City.
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Ten Hag said: “I said from January on, we are in finals – we won many finals and now we have lost one.”
