Four Manchester United players will be fired up vs Sheffield following international success

The international break may have come at a good time for some players, with some players impressing for their countries.

Many United players have shone for their nations, which offers a glimmer of hope heading into Saturday night’s game against Sheffield United.

Perhaps the time away from Manchester will have been good for the players and Erik ten Hag.

We sincerely hope so. With this, here are four Manchester United players who will be fired up following international break success.

Marcus Rashford

A goal for his country will have done Marcus Rashford the world of good. He had a fantastic display for England.

He has no doubt been one of United’s most disappointing players this season, failing to kick on after his electric 30-goal campaign last year.

The winger was severely lacking confidence in red, which he has hopefully now found in white and can bring back to Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes

As always for his country, Bruno Fernandes was sensational.

The Portuguese wizard provided one assist and scored another goal in a 5-0 win against Slovakia, playing 79 minutes.

He hasn’t been horrendous for United, but we know he seriously isn’t performing at his top level. Maybe an international reset will allow him to really excel for the rest of the season.

Harry Maguire

A man that seriously needed a top performance, and got one – it’s Harry Maguire.

His performance warranted a review of ‘outstanding’ from Gareth Southgate as the Three Lions defeated Italy 3-1. Maguire was a colossus and once again showed his quality on the international stage.

The 30-year-old has been under so much scrutiny as of late at Manchester United, after being a serial struggler who always had a mistake in him.

He fell well out of favour, but amid injury woes, he could still have a big part to play this season. We reckon he starts on Saturday.

Facundo Pellistri

After a poor first game against Columbia, no United player will feel more fired up heading back from the international break than Facundo Pellistri.

He played 88 minutes as Uruguay pulled off a famous victory against their South American rivals Brazil.

The young winger will be on top of the world and will be keen to replicate his fine performances for his club as he continues to make a name for himself in Manchester.
