Former Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan has sent out a heartfelt message after Inter Milan knocked Barcelona out of the Champions League semi-finals.
Inter Milan have punched their ticket to the final of the Champions League on 31st May and will face either Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal at the Allianz Arena.
The Serie A outfit secured an entertaining 3-3 draw in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals in late April at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium.
Inter hosted the La Liga side for the return leg on Tuesday evening and Simone Inzaghi’s men came out on top in a thrilling 4-3 win on the night at the San Siro.
The Italian side were on the verge of going out of the Champions League before Francesco Acerbi found an equaliser in injury time and sent the tie to extra time.
Simone Inzaghi’s side ensured their place in the final after Davide Frattesi found the winner in the 99th minute and Barcelona crashed out of the Champions League.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan started the second-leg Champions League semi-final tie on Tuesday at the San Siro before he came off in the second half of the match.
Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi hooked off the former Manchester United midfielder and replaced him with Davide Frattesi in the 79th minute.
Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal will settle their Champions League semi-final battle on Wednesday evening at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
Luis Enrique’s men hold the crucial advantage over Arsenal after PSG picked up a 1-0 win over the Premier League side at the Emirates in the first-leg tie in late April.
Mkhitaryan took to Instagram after Inter’s 4-3 win over Barcelona and he welcomed the “incredible feelings” that were experienced at the San Siro in the semi-final tie.
“We gave everything,” he wrote to his followers.
“We believed until the end. United, as one TEAM. Together with our fans who pushed us forward every single second.
“These are incredible feelings! Il cuore dell’Italia batte nero e blu. FORZA INTER. SEMPRE [sic].”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan lifted both the Europa League trophy and the League Cup during his Red Devils spell at Old Trafford under former United manager Jose Mourinho.
The 36-year-old Armenian midfielder left United in 2018 and completed his move to Arsenal as part of a straight swap deal for Red Devils flop Alexis Sanchez.
Following his run at the Emirates with Arsenal, Mkhitaryan signed for Roma after spending time on loan at the Serie A club and he later moved to Inter.
Mkhitaryan, who is under contract with Inter until 2026, has made 142 appearances for the Nerazzurri and he has scored eight times and picked up 18 assists.
