Dermot Gallagher made his feelings clear on the heated incident between Rasmus Hojlund and Kyle Walker during Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Manchester City.
Manchester City took the lead in the Manchester derby on Sunday evening after Josko Gvardiol fired a header past Andre Onana in the first half.
But Ruben Amorim’s men rallied back late in the second half after Bruno Fernandes cancelled out Josko Gvardiol’s first-half opener from the spot-kick.
Only two minutes after Bruno Fernandes’ penalty, Amad Diallo netted past Ederson with a superb finish and sealed all three points for Manchester United.
United’s win has left Ruben Amorim’s side six points adrift from the Premier League top four and only five points behind City in fifth place.

Gallagher on Hojlund vs Walker incident
Rasmus Hojlund and Kyle Walker were involved in a heated altercation during the Premier League match at the Etihad on the weekend.
Walker tripped Hojlund and the Manchester United striker was sent crashing onto the floor of the pitch before tensions hit boiling point.
An irate Hojlund climbed back to his feet and he marched over to the Manchester City defender and squared up to Walker amid a heated war of words.
However, Walker embarrassingly dropped to the floor of the pitch after Hojlund squared up to him, with both United and City players getting involved.
Referee Anthony Taylor booked both Hojlund and Walker, but the City defender was ruthlessly slammed for trying to have the 21-year-old sent off in the match.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Ref Watch, Dermot Gallagher felt that Taylor “did well” with his decision and did not make “something bigger” of the situation.
“I thought the referee [Anthony Taylor] did well, he did not get sucked into thinking it was something bigger than it was, it was just a push,” he said.
“It was a player reacting to a push and we do not need that.”
Amorim welcomed Man Utd result vs Man City
Speaking after the Manchester derby, Ruben Amorim believed that United did well after going 1-0 down and “controlled” City “very well” in the match.
“I think so, it’s hard to say now and I’m the coach of Manchester United,” he said, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“But I think we did a great job, we controlled Manchester City very well. We didn’t allow much, of course, we don’t create so much either. But it was a divided game but I believe it was a lot different to Arsenal.
“We controlled the game against Arsenal in the first half but I didn’t feel that belief today I felt and I think that was the key point to change the game.”
