Manchester United take on Everton in the Premier League this weekend.
Erik ten Hag‘s side are finally back in action following the international break, with a tough trip to the blue side of Merseyside on the cards – Everton.
The manager and his coaching staff will be desperate to get back into the Premier League season with a win, given the ridiculous run of fixtures Manchester United face leading up to 2024.
But this certainly will be no easy task. Everton are in fine form, and with the fact they’ll be fired up given their points deduction, the Red Devils will have to battle hard at Goodison Park.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin confident vs Manchester United
One man who will be looking to thwart Ten Hag’s first-team squad will be Dominic Calvert-Lewin. The Engish forward is finally fit again for the Toffee’s and will likely feature at some point on Sunday.
“I’ve played in a lot of games against United at Goodison, and the atmosphere is always incredible,” the 26-year-old told Everton’s website.
“I expect the weekend to be no different – if not, more electric. I’m sure the fans will be ready. Us as players, we’ll prepare the same as normal and make sure we’re ready to put in a performance and collect the three points.
“I think, given the circumstances, I’ve sensed a lot of unity and togetherness. We were off on the international break when the news broke, but coming back in this week, I don’t feel like it’s fazed us players.
“We know, as a group, we can’t affect that. All we can affect is what’s in front of us, and that’s the game on Sunday, so we’re looking forward to that.”

Ten Hag will be desperate for a win at Goodison Park.
These are the types of games United need to be winning if they have any chance of finishing in the top four this season and qualifying for the elusive Champions League.
It will also give the Red Devils a much-needed boost heading into what is one of the most important games of the season so far – Galatasaray away.
