Manchester United head into the international break on the back a win.
Erik ten Hag‘s side beat Luton Town 1-0 thanks to a Victor Lindelof strike, which means they now currently sit sixth in the Premier League table.
This is quite remarkable, considering the sheer amount of scrutiny the manager and his Manchester United first-team squad have come under in recent weeks.
Now we have the calm of an international break… but what lies in front of the Red Devils beyond this? Let’s take a look.

These take us right up to 2024, but how do we think the games will pan out?
How many points should Manchester United pick up in the next 10 games?
Given how the season has gone so far, this is how we believe the games up until the new year will pan out.
- Everton vs Manchester United: Draw
- Galatasaray vs Manchester United: Loss
- Newcastle United vs Manchester United: Loss
- Manchester United vs Chelsea: Win
- Manchester United vs Bournemouth: Win
- Manchester United vs Bayern Munich: Draw
- Liverpool vs Manchester United: Loss
- West Ham vs Manchester United: Draw
- Manchester United vs Aston Villa: Win
- Nottingham Forest vs Manchester United: Draw
This would ultimately mean 12 points from 8 games in the Premier League.
It would also sadly mean Manchester United crash out of the Champions League at the group stage.
Crucial for Erik ten Hag’s tenure at Manchester United
Don’t get us wrong, Manchester United could come back from the break revitalised and play some fantastic football – but given the current performances and injury issues, we think this is realistic.
We have been grinding out victories against weaker clubs, but the upcoming fixtures involve some fierce competitors.
This is why the next 10 games are crucial for the manager. He’s gone through a really difficult spell, but his toughest battles are yet to come.
The winter period will be a true test of Manchester United’s character, resilience and ultimately – will suggest whether Ten Hag is capable at the helm.
We sincerely hope they prove us wrong in our predictions – but it could be a cold, long winter for the Red Devils.
