Manchester United youngster Ethan Ennis is celebrating signing his first professional contract.
Ennis quit Liverpool’s academy to sign with Manchester United in the summer, with the Red Devils beating competition from Chelsea.
After signing terms with United in the summer as a 16-year-old, Ennis turned 17 in December and has since signed a professional deal.

While this was always a formality, it is still a big moment in the career of a young player, especially at a club as huge as Manchester United.
Ennis posted a photo over the festive period showing the moment he put pen to paper on the deal, insisting he is going to continue to work hard to achieve his goals.
Steady start in United’s academy
Ennis has begun the season in United’s under-18s side and will likely continue to play a larger role as the campaign progresses.
The young winger recently came off the bench in the FA Youth Cup win over Scunthorpe, getting the chance to play at Old Trafford.
For the under-18s in league competition, Ennis has played in five matches, scoring once and providing one assist.
Ennis can expect to get more opportunities when Alejandro Garnacho is promoted full time to the under-23s.
The young Spaniard started and netted twice in the under-23s last league game at Blackburn, which suggests he will step up in the second half of the campaign.

This will open up more starting opportunities for Ennis, who has also featured once as a substitute in the UEFA Youth League.
The best is yet to come for the youngster, and with the security of a professional deal behind him, United will hope to see him flourish in 2022.
