Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided a positive injury update on Amad.
The youngster hobbled off in the pre-season friendly win over Arsenal, having played only 10 minutes in the second half.
Speaking at a press conference, Ten Hag is optimistic Amad will be making a swift return.
It came after Amad sent a message out on social media stating the injury was ‘nothing serious’.

Ten Hag on Amad
Erik ten Hag told the press conference that Amad could be back with the first team very shortly.
He explained: “It’s not too bad. And today he was running again, not involved in the group, but we hope he can join tomorrow in the training.”
This probably makes it unlikely Amad will feature against Real Madrid, but he could be in line to get game time against Borussia Dortmund on July 31.

Amad did start the first two games, so he has already had some time to show Erik ten Hag what he can do.
No place in squad for two players
Ten Hag says decisions have already been made over the futures of Anthony Elanga and Dean Henderson.
Elanga is at Nottingham Forest to seal a transfer, while negotiations are ongoing for Henderson’s move.
Ten Hag was asked about the pair, and said: “No place in our squad. And again, when we have news, we will tell you.”
