Erik ten Hag has dropped a major injury update on two Manchester United stars ahead of the Red Devils’ Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils returned to winning ways in the Premier League after the September international break with a 3-0 win over Southampton at the St Mary’s on Saturday.
Manchester United had suffered back-to-back defeats ahead of the international break, with Brighton beating the Red Devils 2-1 and Liverpool inflicting a 3-0 loss.
However, Erik ten Hag’s men built on their momentum in the midweek with a strong start to their Carabao Cup campaign in the 2024-25 campaign.
United dominated and outclassed League One side Barnsley in a 7-0 thrashing at Old Trafford in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.
The Red Devils now travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday for their Premier League match with Crystal Palace, with kick-off slated for 5:30pm UK time.

Ten Hag provides Man Utd injury update
Manchester United are 10th in the Premier League table after their first four matches, with the Red Devils winning two and losing two this season.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Erik ten Hag spoke out on Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund after their return to first-team training.
Rasmus Hojlund has missed the opening weeks of the 2024-25 season after the United striker suffered an injury in the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in the pre-season tour.
Mason Mount, on the other hand, started in United’s opening Premier League match of the season against Fulham, which ended in a late 1-0 win for the Red Devils.
The 25-year-old former Chelsea ace returned to the starting XI for the Brighton clash last month, but he was subbed off at half-time after he injured a hamstring.
“It’s very good news they are back [on] the pitch,” Ten Hag said, as per the Manchester Evening News.
“They are back in team training; we have to decide whether they are fit enough to start [on Saturday] but it is very pleasing they are fit and back in the squad.”
The United manager added: “We have so many games in this block to cover, so very, very happy.
“We have to make the final call, they did a couple of training, we have to see how they recover and tomorrow they will make the final call.”
Man Utd boss Ten Hag on injuries
Ten Hag oversaw a lacklustre 2023-24 season at United and his first-team squad during the campaign was ravaged by injuries.
The ex-Ajax boss wants to avoid an injury crisis this season and wants to “integrate” Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount back into the team in a “very careful way.”
“Careful and top football: you always go to boundaries,” Ten Hag said.
“It’s not avoidable but when you have a full squad available, then it’s easier to manage the load when you are in circumstances like last season and there is a need to play, we have to overload them.
“We hope we can integrate them in a very careful way.”
