Ten Hag on the win

The win sees United move four points ahead of Liverpool who are in fifth, as the top four race boils down to the final fixtures.

Following a string of two straight losses, ten Hag was delighted that his side bounced back.

“Vital. We had to bounce back after big defeats.” ten Hag continued describing how beneficial a week off was for his side, “We had no energy and played slow [in those games]. Today we had to win and we did it.

The Dutchman concluded that he is only looking ahead however to the next game on Thursday away to Bournemouth.

“Every game is difficult. You have to be ready for every match.”

Now United must win two of their last three games in order to secure Champions League qualification and keep it firmly in their own hands.
