Cavani had one more to share, sending a message out on Instagram on Monday evening.
His post contained a fantastic five word message which read, ‘PROUD to defend this shirt’.
Cavani appears to have fallen in love with United over the past few months.
He had a rocky start to life in England, arriving amid a year with a pandemic and no supporters at grounds, having to get up to speed fitness-wise, and then getting slapped with a farce of a ban from the FA.
That is all behind him now, and Cavani is playing the best football of his spell at Old Trafford so far.
He has 15 goals in total, including eight in his last seven games.
United fans have been desperate for him to renew his contract and it is a relief to see him put pen to paper.
A return to South America can wait. Cavani has so much more to offer, and his United career has a few more chapters to write.
This season could end with silverware, and United will be in the mix next season too. Having Cavani automatically makes the club a team to be feared.
