Marcus Rashford showed off a side to him that Manchester United fans have been waiting to see for some time after the Red Devils’ thumping win over Everton.
Ruben Amorim’s men ran riot on Sunday and Manchester United comfortably walked away with all three Premier League points at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford broke the deadlock for United in the first half thanks to a massive deflection off Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
Joshua Zirkzee then netted seven minutes later against Everton to put the Red Devils 2-0 up at Old Trafford before half-time.
Rashford added his name to the scoresheet for the second time only a minute into the second half before Joshua Zirkzee completed his brace as well for United.
Sunday’s 4-0 demolition win over Everton was Ruben Amorim’s first Premier League match at Old Trafford as United manager since his arrival from Sporting CP.
Amorim was appointed United manager in November and replaced Erik ten Hag, who was sacked in late October, in the Old Trafford dugout.

Man Utd star Rashford after Everton win
Marcus Rashford has struggled to find his best form at Old Trafford this season and the Manchester United star has faced criticism over his consistency at the club.
The 27-year-old United forward’s form fell off a cliff last season under Erik ten Hag, but Rashford has shown signs of getting back to his best in the current campaign.
The England international has scored seven times and registered three assists in 21 appearances in the 2024-25 season, with Rashford making his mark against Everton.
Following his superb showing against Everton, eagle-eyed United fans spotted Rashford walking alongside Andre Onana on the pitch and the pair were clapping.
The footage made the rounds on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, with United fans also welcoming the ‘big smile’ on Rashford’s face.
Amorim on Rashford’s performance vs Everton
United are now ninth in the Premier League table under Amorim and the Red Devils are only four points adrift from the top four.
Amorim will now turn his attention to the tough test awaiting United on Wednesday evening, with the Red Devils travelling to the Emirates to face Arsenal.
Speaking after the Everton match, Amorim admitted that he expects Rashford to be on top form for the Premier League showdown against Arsenal.
“Yes, he can do so much,” he said at his post-match press conference, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“He has to continue to improve, he has the ability to do it and already proved that. But he can play so much better like the other guys.
“Tomorrow, he has to recover and start thinking about Arsenal [on Wednesday].”
